This week we start a new cycle. This is an excellent time to start coming to the group classes if you have been waiting for the beginner level lessons. The classes for this cycle are:
A reminder about the Facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/DestineDance. It is a place we post photos, share events, share links and engage with others on things related to the studio and dance. It's good to join. Finally, the studio space is not available cup eve (6th Nov) so instead we can go to an event at Carnegie Hall - www.facebook.com/events/764088975517082. This is a disco themed night so you can expect to have a good time. Let me know if you are going so we can get a table together. See you on the dance floor Clint Steel

If you were at class on Thursday, then you might recall me saying we would not have a Thursday class this week. However, the reason for this cancellation has evaporated. So we can cancel that cancellation. The group classes this week are:
After this week, we start a new cycle in group classes: Salsa, Cha cha, Rock and roll, and slow Foxtrot. If you have not been going to group classes and waiting for the best time to jump in, then this is it. Also, if you know someone who has been wanting to learn to dance, then the 4 week intro offer is ideal for them. So share this link - https://www.destinedance.com.au/intro-4weeks.html. See you on the dance floor Clint Dance event this Saturday
Remember that we have the 80s dance and trivia event this Saturday at the Carnegie Dutch Club. Details here - www.facebook.com/events/1515711269233680. Let me know if you are coming, if you have not already, so I can book a table for us all. It will be a chance to dance some, Jive, Lindy Hop, Rock and Roll, and Blues - maybe even some Cha cha. It was a fun time last time so should be this time too. Do you know people wanting to learn to dance? If you know anyone who is thinking about learning to dance, then let them know about our next 4 week program that starts on 30 October. You can share this link with them - https://www.destinedance.com.au/intro-4weeks.html Group classes This is the last week of the current cycle:
And then on the 30th, when we start the next cycle, we will teach:
See you on the dance floor Clint First off, group classes this week:
A new cycle will start in a few weeks (30 October). We will then be teaching:
But the week before that (23 October), we will teach some specifics styles: Son, Cha cha, Charleston and social Foxtrot. The reason for this, so we can cover some dances suited to the 1920s styles likely to be danced at the Gatsby party on the 28th of October. If you want to dress up and dance to classic live big band music, then make sure you get your ticket - https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1091741. And mention Destine Dance when asked if you are with a group so we will all be on the same table. But before then, we can return to the Carnegie Dutch Club for a night with Blush - https://www.facebook.com/events/1515711269233680. We have been to one of their nights before. Dancing, trivia and fun times. We had a good time then, so I expect we will have a good time at the next night as well. Let me know if you will join me - so I know what size table to book. See you on the dance floor Clint Nothing very exciting this time. So first a reminder of the group classes this week:
Thanks to everyone who came to the bachata event on the weekend gone. It was a fun night and it was good to see everyone (including the beginner dancers) enjoy a night of dance. The next event currently on the calendar is the Gatsby night - https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1091741. If you have not booked your ticket, then do so. And mention Destine Dance when you are asked if you are part of a group so you are on our table. In preparation for this night, we will do a special week of group classes focused on dances suited to the theme: Charleston, cha cha and social foxtrot. See you on the dance floor Clint |
