In a bit over a month we will have the next awards night - 30 August.
As I always say - awards help you develop much faster because they give you a goal that focuses your efforts. They make for a great way to ensure you become a great dancer as fast as possible. It certainly worked for me.
Let your teacher know if you want to do this. I will also be contacting all students doing this. If you are meant to be and do not hear from me, then get back to me.
The last week was a great week in group classes. Because we have a 4 week promo going on at the moment, we have extra students in the classes. That is creating a great atmosphere of fun and excitement.
So if you have not been to group class for a while, then come along for this great dance experience. We have also been sanitizing hands every 15 minutes and I am wearing a mask (we also have masks for you) so it is being kept safe too.
Classes this week:
See you on the dance floor
This week we start a new promo to engage new students with a 4 week program.
That means it is a great chance for you to come in and meet new people. While also showing off what you know, helping others enjoy dance and get some more practice in - there is no substitute for dancing with others to develop your lead and follow skills (along with general dance ability.
Also, I have told staff that we should start wearing masks (unless they have something like asthma) and to sanitize hands every 15 minutes in groups classes. So you can also feeler safer in group classes given the time of year. We will also have masks there for you to wear should you forget.
Classes are Monday at 7:30pm, Tuesday at 6:30pm, Wednesday at 7:30pm and Thursday at 6:30pm.
See you on the dance floor.
I hope you have been well.
Group classes this week
Just letting you know that while I am still in isolation, we will have group classes on. They will be taken by a mix of Anita and Jess. So they might seem a little different from when I take them, but that means you get some new perspectives.
Group classes this week are:
Social events coming up
The Linda Ronstadt show this Sunday at 3:30pm at Caulfield RSL - https://www.facebook.com/events/1029469214358796. Some will recall the event there with the substitutes. It can get crowded, but there is a chance to dance R'n'R, Swing and Latin. You also need to get in quick so message me ASAP to secure a table - lest you stand the whole time.
Roy Orbison and Everly Brothers Tribute 7th of August at the studio venue. We have a bit more time before this one comes, see the image, but still good to put this in your diary and let me know if you are coming.
It is now a New Financial Year. I hope the last one was good and you get a nice big tax return.
Also, now that it is new financial year, we will start promoting again to get more students in. We are looking forward to big things.
A new 4 week program
Destine Dance is promoting another 4 week program for beginners. I mentioned this before, and I would again like you to share it with people you know. Here is the link - https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/learn-to-dance-in-4-weeks-access-to-all-our-group-classes-at-a-low-price-tickets-373515915157.
This will also bring more people into the group classes, and make it more fun for you. Good times ahead.
How about a reward for getting people in?
The 4 week program is not our only way to try us out. There is also the intro pack. If you recommend someone to the studio and they sign up for the deluxe intro pack, then we will give you a private lesson at no cost. So if you have friends interested in learning dance and you send them to us, then make sure they mention your name when they sign up for the intro pack - so you get your free lesson.
Awards are coming
The new financial year also means there is now 2 months to awards. Awards are, as I have said before, the best way to get focus on your dance so it improves fastest. I did the awards, and the other teachers did the awards. We all know how good they are for making you a better dancer fast! Make sure you are registered for your award. And look forward to getting good fast.
All classes are running this week:
