We have a number of Facebook live events for you this week, but the faces might seem a little different from last week.
First off, I hope you got to see the discussion that Kevin had with John Lindo. John is definitely one of the greats in West Coast swing - and thus in dance in general - so it was a real opportunity having him as a guest. If you did not see it, then make sure you check it out - https://www.facebook.com/DestineDance/videos/365800175279282 This week, Anita will be taking the Latin Body classes. Gigi is still recovering and we wish her the best with that recovery. If you have been enjoying these lessons, then they are still running and we look forward to having you there. On Monday I will be doing a Facebook live event at 7:30pm on dizziness and balance. If you ever feel you get dizzy dancing or want better balance, then join me has I share methods used to train astronauts. Register for a reminder here - https://www.facebook.com/DestineDance/videos/1421144224933620 And again Anita will be taking the Tuesday Street Latin lesson (Bachata) - https://www.facebook.com/DestineDance/videos/823518384997145 See you online, and hopefully soon in the physical world Clint

As you know, lockdown keeps on keeping on. But it’s not like the long one of 2020, and there is no point in simply going into hibernation. So we have been working on some online sessions to keep you engaged and keep dance in your mind – we don’t want to lose what you have gained.
You can see the sessions we have planned here: https://www.facebook.com/DestineDance/live_videos In summary we have:
I will let you know when that is happening.
Until then, take care and I look forward to seeing you on the dance floor Clint Steele
There are two songs by the band OK Go that are very applicable to what's happening at the moment.
The first is "Here it goes again".
You might have seen this vide before, the band members are pretty good dancers.
The second song, which is a bit more reassuring, is "This too shall pass".
This is a good one for anyone who likes to feel more future positive at the moment and who like mechanisms.
Apart from watching music videos that sum up the situation we are in, you can also watch some online sessions we have set up to keep you and the staff engaged. I have asked the staff to come up with some ideas so there might be more to come, but for now, I can tell you we will have:
Take care and have a good week Clint Steele It would certainly seem that Larneuk - the indigenous season of the wet winter - has arrived. In this update:
SOME POLICY REMINDERS Please note that our cancelation policy is 48 hours notice. We do understand that emergencies happen, and we do out best to accommodate. However, the instructors are on contract and do not get paid when they are left hanging. By giving sufficient notice, teachers can organise lessons (or even shifts with other jobs) to maximise the paid ours in their week and minimise wasted time. LATIN BODY DANCE FITNESS INTRO Tonight at 7pm in Dance Talk - the online sessions we run to keep you up to date and informed on things related to dance - Gigi will be going over some examples of what will be done in these classes. It's a chance for you to see what it will be like and ask some questions about it. You will also be able to try some of the exercises. This is going to prove to be one of the most fun and effective ways to get your summer bod so make sure you check it out here - https://www.facebook.com/DestineDance/videos/561132388568685. THE NEW DANCES FOR THIS MONTH
After Gigi showed some basic samba in a Dance Talk episode, a number of people wanted it. So the dances for this week are:
