Please keep the night of April 7 free. The plan is to go to a tango event in Richmond. It will be a Sunday night so not like the usual events we go to. But it will still be a good chance to dance tango in a social context. And given we are doing it now in group class, it's good timing.
Speaking of group class, please note the following:
Now as a reminder for group classes this week:
Finally - we will have class next Monday See you on the dance floor Clint

A social this Saturday - We are back are Carnegie Hall! You can read more here - https://www.facebook.com/events/253194987650158 - but the key details are:
See you on the dance floor Clint First off - thanks to those who came to the bachata (and street Latin) event on Saturday. It is good when a group of us go, and it is also good to see everyone being able to use and enjoy what they learn in class. Not only that, but Hank came and talked to me about it and said how much he likes having us there - so winners all round.
Group classes this week:
And now let's talk about another social event. Lock in March 2 for Blush and Carnegie hall - https://www.facebook.com/events/253194987650158. We have seen them before and they are fun to dance to, but not trivia this time it seems. Still fun though. And then after that at some time we will got to a tango event at NFT - https://www.facebook.com/ProjectNFT - for a welcoming tango experience. Finally, if you know someone who wants to learn to dance, then let them know about out 4 week program - https://www.destinedance.com.au/intro-4weeks.html. Finally, remember the EOY party. I have the trophies for those doing their awards, I have organised for the bar to be attended, and I am getting everyone's food preferences as they register. Register yourself now - https://www.destinedance.com.au/store/p39/EOY2023.html - and invite any friends who are interested. As well as the awards, which are good to watch, there will be the bar, the BBQ, a group class for all, and social dancing. In short - a good night. See you on the dance floor Clint First off - remember that there is no class tonight (Monday).
Group classes this week:
Awards If you are going for awards, then I have recently sent an email about the details. Please let me know if you did not get this. Cancellations December is a crazy time this year, and the following nights we will not have any classes:
I realise that is a fair chunk of the month. This was partly the result of some confusion within the management of the venue so it is an unusual December. Thus, to compensate those who are currently on the subscription, I will be suspending their fees for the month of December. EOY party Thanks again to those who filled out the survey. We will be doing a BBQ this year along with the awards and a class suited to beginners as well (so please bring friends) and then we'll have some social dancing to see the night out. The bar will also be open at great prices. You can purchase your tickets for the night via this link: https://www.destinedance.com.au/store/p39/EOY2023.html Social coming up If you joined us last time we saw this band, then you will recall how good they are. Save the date (9th December): https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=122124073184059750&set=a.122098970990059750. And let me know that you are coming. See you on the dance floor Clint Group classes this week:
Now let's start getting ready for the end of the year and the start of the next. I have created a survey to find out what you would like to do for the end of the year, for social events in the future and when you will likely come back next year. Please take the time to fill it out here: https://forms.gle/jgeGt3iyVdzyYPvbA This Sunday, there will be a band at the studio venue - https://www.facebook.com/events/238354565497964. This is a new band that we have not danced to before so it will ne a new experience. Let me know if you are coming. See you on the dance floor Clint If you were at class on Thursday, then you might recall me saying we would not have a Thursday class this week. However, the reason for this cancellation has evaporated. So we can cancel that cancellation. The group classes this week are:
After this week, we start a new cycle in group classes: Salsa, Cha cha, Rock and roll, and slow Foxtrot. If you have not been going to group classes and waiting for the best time to jump in, then this is it. Also, if you know someone who has been wanting to learn to dance, then the 4 week intro offer is ideal for them. So share this link - https://www.destinedance.com.au/intro-4weeks.html. See you on the dance floor Clint Dance event this Saturday
Remember that we have the 80s dance and trivia event this Saturday at the Carnegie Dutch Club. Details here - www.facebook.com/events/1515711269233680. Let me know if you are coming, if you have not already, so I can book a table for us all. It will be a chance to dance some, Jive, Lindy Hop, Rock and Roll, and Blues - maybe even some Cha cha. It was a fun time last time so should be this time too. Do you know people wanting to learn to dance? If you know anyone who is thinking about learning to dance, then let them know about our next 4 week program that starts on 30 October. You can share this link with them - https://www.destinedance.com.au/intro-4weeks.html Group classes This is the last week of the current cycle:
And then on the 30th, when we start the next cycle, we will teach:
