I wanted to let you know that I really do enjoy teaching at Destine Dance and a major reason for that is you. It's just great fun teaching you and others - be it in a private or a group class.
If it weren't for you, the there would be no studio. And to show my appreciation, I want to know what can be done to make the studio better for you. Please take the time to fill out this survey (only 9 questions and most of them multiple choice) to let me know what we can do to make things better for you - https://forms.gle/w2jReLruJ9P6fMm7A. And just so you know, these are the group classes this week:
I look forward to seeing on the dance floor Clint

It has been a little while since we have been out social dancing. Which is a shame because we are getting a good group each time we go out. These jaunts are a great part of my social life and a fun outliet - I am sure they are for you too..
The good news is, there are more events coming up. But before I talk about that, let's recap the group classes this week: • Monday 7:30pm Street Latin - Argentine Tango (the soulful classic) • Tuesday 6:30pm Latin American - Rumba (the most romantic of dances) • Wednesday 7:30pm Swing and R'n'R - Rock and Roll (the rebel dance) • Thursday 6:30pm Ballroom - Quickstep (the swingingest of ballroom) Note that this is the second week of the current 6 week cycle. So you can still jump in if you missed last week with little issue. And if you started last week, then keep at it so you get the full benefit of following the full cycle. Now back to the social stuff. S&P promotions are still running gigs at Carnegie. Some events coming up are: • Staring The Retro Stars on July 15th • Motown honours Tina Turner July 29th • Van Morrison wild night on August 19th They are a little while off yet, but by simply reading the theme for each you can tell these will be good nights. Like all the others we have been to. I will also let you know if any other events get organized. See you on the dance floor Clint We start a new cycle in the group classes this week.
Yes we do have classes today (Monday). So if you want to drill into any of the following dances, then now is an excellent time to get the group lessons into your routine:
These clearly work given the dominant presence the Destine Dance group had on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who came. You certainly set the standard on the dance floor. Of course, awards are another contributor to being a good dancer. The next ones are on 6th of September so you have your goal clear in your head. See you on the dance floor This is the last week of the current 6 week cycle.
The group classes this week are: • Monday 7:30pm Street Latin - Bachata (the ne sensual kid on the block) • Tuesday 6:30pm Latin American - Cha cha (the fun and universal dance) • Wednesday 7:30pm Swing and R'n'R - Lindy Hop (the classic of swing) • Thursday 6:30pm Ballroom - slow Foxtrot (the most refined of dances) Next week the group classes will be: • Monday 7:30pm Street Latin - Argentine Tango (the classic) • Tuesday 6:30pm Latin American - Rumba (the most romantic of dances) • Wednesday 7:30pm Swing and R'n'R - Rock and Roll (the rebel dance) • Thursday 6:30pm Ballroom - Quickstep (the swingingest of ballroom) So if you have missed group classes for a bit, then next week is the ideal time to jump back in. If you have been coming to group classes of late, then this week will be the peak where you get the most out of your steady contribution to your dance skill development. But before you get too excited about the new group classes, make sure you a free this Sunday for a live band event at the venue. The party animals are back! https://www.facebook.com/functionseventsepsc/posts/pfbid02wn5nLo1JQRDv9johJ8RQ1AuLDeHDbu1RJqB4hNGBJqr9tA7VZvUs9Jpruc2VvUTAl I will be there so you should be too. As I always say - it's a great way to see the weekend out. Even though it's a long weekend this time - that just means you party harder with the Part Animals. See you on the dancefloor Clint |
