What's best for me?
It really is a question of how quickly you want to learn. The more lessons you take and the more focused those lessons are, the faster you will attain the skills you desire. There is no cheaper option to reach your goal; only the same coast spread out over a longer period.
If you are starting, then you want privates. They will accelerate your learning so that you can dance socially as quickly as possible. If you do want to know how to dance, then you will need about 20 hours of focused training to become capable. That's the kind of training that you get in a private. However, when you sign up for a block of private lessons you are able to attend our group/social lessons free. Therefore, if attend your private lessons and group lessons and also practice in your own time, then you can gain the equivalence of your 20 hours pretty quickly. You can do that for each style and then you have a good set of dance skills.
Couple's lessons are just like privates if you know someone you will go dancing with. You can even look at doubling the frequency to make up for the less focused time each student gets.
If you have learned to dance, but want to keep improving, then you could attend either group or privates (couple's) and group. It is a question of how polished a dancer you wish to be and how quickly you want to become that talented: see your progression for more information. You should also know that dance is not like riding a bike; you need to keep practicing it to keep it in your mind. That's why it is good for your brain: see the why you should learn to dance for more information.
Workshops are are always worth attending when they come along so keep your eyes open for them. Destine Dance will run some, but we will also let you know about useful workshops at other places as well. We want to see you dance as well as you can as quickly as you can.
