Jessica is a highly skilled ballroom and Latin dancer with a passion for rhythm and grace. Having trained extensively in both disciplines, Jessica excels in various styles such as waltz, tango, foxtrot, Quickstep, cha-cha, rumba, Samba and Jive. Having started dancing at the age of 6 years old, Jessica progressed through the examination structure with I.D.T.A (International Dance Teachers Award) until qualifying as a professional and teacher in 2014.
Known for her precision footwork and solid content, she continues to inspire and educate through teaching and choreography, sharing her. expertise and love for dance with students of all ages and skill levels. QnA with Jess What do you like most about dance? What I like most about dance is how it enables you to lose yourself in it. How you can leave behind everything when you start a dance class and just have fun What do you like about teaching dance? The main thing I love about teaching is watching a student grow through dance , how much confidence dance creates within a person and how at the end of a lesson they leave feeling accomplished whether it be a basic in waltz or a more difficult technique based class What's your favourite quote about dance and why? My favourite quote about dance is ‘when you dance your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor, it’s to enjoy each step along the way’. Dance is about having fun, creating a passion and enjoying it Why did you start dancing? I started dancing when I was 6 years old after a trial ballroom and latin class with a friend. I immediately fell in love with it and never looked back , after completing all my medals my aim was to qualify as a teacher , the ultimate goal! To be able to teach others my passion and hope they fall in love too. |
