In a bit over a month we will have the next awards night - 30 August.

As I always say - awards help you develop much faster because they give you a goal that focuses your efforts. They make for a great way to ensure you become a great dancer as fast as possible. It certainly worked for me.

Let your teacher know if you want to do this. I will also be contacting all students doing this. If you are meant to be and do not hear from me, then get back to me.

The last week was a great week in group classes. Because we have a 4 week promo going on at the moment, we have extra students in the classes. That is creating a great atmosphere of fun and excitement. 

So if you have not been to group class for a while, then come along for this great dance experience. We have also been sanitizing hands every 15 minutes and I am wearing a mask (we also have masks for you) so it is being kept safe too.

Classes this week:

• Monday 7:30pm* Argentine tango and salsa 
• Tuesday 6:30pm Jive and Cha cha 
• Wednesday 7:30pm* rock and roll and Lindy Hop ​
• Thursday 6:30pm Quickstep and waltz 

* followed by a social dance session

​This week we start a new promo to engage new students with a 4 week program.
 
That means it is a great chance for you to come in and meet new people. While also showing off what you know, helping others enjoy dance and get some more practice in - there is no substitute for dancing with others to develop your lead and follow skills (along with general dance ability.
 
Also, I have told staff that we should start wearing masks (unless they have something like asthma) and to sanitize hands every 15 minutes in groups classes. So you can also feeler safer in group classes given the time of year. We will also have masks there for you to wear should you forget. 
 
Classes are Monday at 7:30pm, Tuesday at 6:30pm, Wednesday at 7:30pm and Thursday at 6:30pm.

Group classes this week
Just letting you know that while I am still in isolation, we will have group classes on. They will be taken by a mix of Anita and Jess. So they might seem a little different from when I take them, but that means you get some new perspectives.
Group classes this week are:

• Tuesday 6:30pm - Jive and Cha cha
• Wednesday 7:30pm* - rock and roll and Lindy Hop ​
• Thursday 6:30pm - Quickstep and waltz

* followed by a social dance session

Social events coming up
The Linda Ronstadt show this Sunday at 3:30pm at Caulfield RSL - https://www.facebook.com/events/1029469214358796. Some will recall the event there with the substitutes. It can get crowded, but there is a chance to dance R'n'R, Swing and Latin. You also need to get in quick so message me ASAP to secure a table - lest you stand the whole time.
Roy Orbison and Everly Brothers Tribute 7th of August at the studio venue. We have a bit more time before this one comes, see the image, but still good to put this in your diary and let me know if you are coming.

The venue is not available this Thursday, and we can't do any Thursday classes. Thus the group classes this week are:
Monday 7:30pm - Salsa and Argentine tango with social
Tuesday 6:30pm - Jive and Cha cha
Wednesday 7:30pm - Swing and Rock and Roll with social
