Dance event this Saturday
Remember that we have the 80s dance and trivia event this Saturday at the Carnegie Dutch Club. Details here - www.facebook.com/events/1515711269233680.
 
Let me know if you are coming, if you have not already, so I can book a table for us all. It will be a chance to dance some, Jive, Lindy Hop, Rock and Roll, and Blues - maybe even some Cha cha.
 
It was a fun time last time so should be this time too.

Group classes
This is the last week of the current cycle:

• Monday 7:30pm Street Latin - Kizomba (a fun African version of Argentine tango)
• Tuesday 6:30pm Latin American - Jive (If Rock and Roll and Ballroom had a baby)
• Wednesday 7:30pm Swing and R'n'R - Lindy Hop (The origin of swing and related styles)
• Thursday 6:30pm Ballroom - Waltz (the most classic of partner dances)

The week after that, we will be having a one off 1920s week to prepare for the Gatsby event: Son, Cha cha, Charleston and social Foxtrot.
 
And then on the 30th, when we start the next cycle, we will teach:

• Monday 7:30pm Street Latin - Salsa (the classic street Latin dance)
• Tuesday 6:30pm Latin American - Cha cha (one of the most popular and fun dances)
• Wednesday 7:30pm Swing and R'n'R - Rock and Roll (the rebel dance that is now a mainstay)
• Thursday 6:30pm Ballroom - Foxtrot (the smoothest and most elegant of dances)

Note, tango was mentioned instead of salsa in some communicationn avenues. It is salsa that we will be doing in the next cycle. Sorry for any confusion.
