Update 30 May 2022: awards plans for the year

​I had a chat with the teachers: we are thinking about 2 more awards nights this year. one on August 31 and the other on December 21.

Talk to your teacher this week about a plan to get ready for these.

Awards have many advantages:

• They give you a goal and focus - this means you get more benefit from the lessons (I know I did when I started dance)
• You feel a sense of achievement
• You get feedback from a certified adjudicator so you can become even better
• You feel more confident having that certificate to say you reached that level
• It's a good structured way to work through all the dances we teach

So using these can help you get a lot more out of dance and your lessons. They are a great way to reach your goals in dance - no matter what they are. And that's why you want to make a plan with your teacher.

And of course, we have the group classes this week:

• Monday 7:30pm: Argentine tango and salsa*
• Tuesday 6:30pm: Jive and Cha cha 
• Wednesday 7:30pm: rock and roll and Lindy Hop*
• Thursday 6:30pm: Quickstep and waltz 

* there is a social after these lessons
