Update 17 April 2023: Disco and awards and new group class styles

First off classes this week:

• Monday 7:30pm Street Latin - Salsa (the classic)
• Tuesday 6:30pm Latin American - Jive (if rock and roll and ballroom had a baby)
• Wednesday 7:30pm Swing and R'n'R - West coast swing (the improve dance)
• Thursday 6:30pm Ballroom - waltz (the classic of all ballroom)

This is close to the end of the current cycle and we will be doing, Bachata, Cha cha, Lindy Hop and Foxtrot starting on the week of May 1.
 
Do you have friends wanting to dance?
We will be starting another 4-week program then too. Please tell anyone you know who has been thinking about learning dance. 
 
Awards
This week we will be finalising the details for the next awards – your teacher will be talking to you about it.
 
Social dance outings
We had a really good time on Saturday with Rough Edges – a really good band doing great music (see some photos in the FB group). It was the first time some people there had social-danced a style they had learned properly. So a significant night. The next event will be a disco-themed night - www.facebook.com/events/774881707568148 - always great dance music.
