Update 14 Aug 2023: From disco back to swing

First things first, the group classes this week:

• Monday 7:30pm Street Latin - Merengue (a fun and sexy dance that is easy to learn)
• Tuesday 6:30pm Latin American - Samba (a fun dance expressing the energy of carnival)
• Wednesday 7:30pm Swing and R'n'R - Blues (practically by definition, the coolest of all the dances)
• Thursday 6:30pm Ballroom - Standard tango (the ballroom dance that once dominated the world)

This is the 4th week of the current cycle. So stick with it if you have been doing them regularly - now is the time you start experiencing the benefits. 
 
Disco was good on Saturday night. We were able to utilise a number of styles taught: cha cha, Lindy Hop, r'n'r and even some merengue (which went better than some expected!). This is what these socail events are about - using what you learn.

I will soon come back to you with details on how to secure your space on a table we book, but  for now, just make sure you can make this night. And make sure you know what you will wear. 
 
Finally, we have the awards coming up. I have sent emails to those going for awards so double check you have the email and your recorded details are correct. If you are not going for awards, then save that date - 6 Sep 2023 - there will be the awards, dance, pizza and the bar will be open with excellent prices.
