QnA with Dana What do you like most about dance? Dance provides an excellent opportunity to express ourselves through the way we move. However, it also has an influence on how we feel. Dance is a great source of inspiration. What do you like about teaching dance? I really enjoy watching people break down their fixed mindset about what they can’t do. I feel fulfilled when my students start doing something new and have good results, enjoying themselves. What's your favourite quote about dance and why? “Life is movement. Movement is dance. Dance is life.” It was said by my first dance employer who dedicates his life to dance art. He was such an inspiration and when he kept saying this phrase it was hard to disbelieve. Why did you start dancing? I was raised in a dance family. They run a large Ukrainian dance company. So, I simply didn’t have other options of how to spend my childhood except for being in a dance class and falling in love with this amazing art. |
