QnA with Peter
What got you started in dance?
My mum actually had a friend whose daughter did ballroom dancing, she approached me about it and ever since my first class I was hooked!
What do you like most about dance?
what I like most about dancing is performing and competing, as I enjoy inspiring and entertaining others through my movement to music!
What's most challenging about dance?
What’s most challenging is feeling like sometimes you aren’t where you want to be in your dancing, but everyone's journey and process is individual, and we must remind ourselves of that! and appreciate what we have now and the blessings to be able to dance.
What advice do you have for students?
My advice would be to always find joy in your dancing and appreciate the learning process! Because there is more fun in the journey rather than the destination! And having fun is the most important principle in dance.
What's your favourite quote about dance and why?
My favourite quote would be “the master has failed more times than the beginner has tried.” Just a reminder that the people we admire are human too and have gone through the process! So just keep working hard and never give up.
